‘Valencia CF visits your school’ kicks off a new season in Torrent
The Club will visit twelve schools with special attention to the centres affected by the flash floods
Since the 2014/15 season, a total of 22 players have made their first team debuts for Valencia CF having previously featured for the VCF Academy sides. Some have established themselves as regulars in the senior squad, such as Carlos Soler, who has now played 151 times in official matches for the club -the most of any debutant since a renewed effort to promote youth, in place with the arrival of majority shareholder Peter Lim.

This season has seen Vicente Esquerdo, Hugo Guillamón and Adrián Guerrero all make their first appearances for Valencia CF. The trio have made their way up the ranks of the VCF Academy, and Guillamón believes that there are more to come, saying "There is a very high level of talent in the youth sides, and if they are given opportunities then I'm sure that good players will come through."
Guillamón recently renewed his contract with the club, whilst others have been given a platform to succeed at other teams following their debuts for the senior squad. The strength of the VCF Academy is undeniable, and top flight football is reaping the rewards of a committment to youth.
