Valencia CF squad team up with Fran Vivó, a young Valencianista with ALS
The Valencia CF coaching staff and footballers have joined the “Valencian Sport for ALS” campaign, and took photos with Fran Vivó, a young Valencianista with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), at the Ciudad Deportiva, making the X sign with their forearms that symbolises the campaign.
Joey Lim, executive director of Valencia CF, and Teo Swee Wei, director general of the VCF Foundation, also participated
The first team wanted to reinforce the participation of Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation in the campaign, with which they have already previously collaborated through VCF Women and the VCF Academy.
Fran Vivó was also able to enjoy the Valencia CF vs. Atletico Madrid match earlier this month with his family, invited along with another fan with ALS, José Antonio Moratal.
“Valencian Sports For ALS” is an initiative by the Luzón Foundation (www.deportexela.com) and the Group of Managers of Sports and Social Clubs, represented by numerous clubs, federations and athletes from the Valencia region.
The campaign, which takes place during November, wants to give visibility to people affected by ALS, a disease currently without a cure, and to raise awareness and funds for research.
