Valencia CF prepare tribute to poet Francisco Brines
The distinguished Valencianista is the first Valencian to receive the Cervantes Prize
Valencia CF, through the VCF Foundation, have been in contact with the Francisco Brines Foundation to send them a reproduction of the club's constitutional act. The document is accompanied by a letter of thanks and appreciation from club president Anil Murthy, addressed to Francisco Brines -a distinguished Valencianista.
Brines, who is currently hospitalised, was a recent winner of the Cervantes Prize, being the first Valencian writer to receive the award.
Both foundations are working to organise a homage next June at the Francisco Brines Foundation headquarters, with the famed poet in attendance if his health permits.
