LAMNA recognised by ADN Mestalla Solidari campaign
On the occasion of the Valencia CF vs. RCD Mallorca match on Saturday, the 'ADN Mestalla Solidari' campaign promoted LAMNA, the association that supports the study of sharks and rays in the Valencia region.
LAMNA joins Cruz Roja Juventud, Protección Civil, Fivan and Hogares Compartidos in being part of the initiative.
Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation reinforce their commitment to society in the 2021/22 season through the 'ADN Mestalla Solidari' initiative. The club want to highlight the role of NGOs and charities and give visibility to their actions, taking advantage of the visit to Mestalla of other LaLiga teams.
LAMNA was created in 2017 as a result of the interest and commitment of three Biology students (Alba Martín, Pablo García and Jaime Penadés) for the study and conservation of sharks and rays in the Valencia region.
Since then, they have collaborated with entities such as the Marine Zoology Unit of the University of Valencia and the Oceanogràfic Foundation; and they have presented the results of their research at national and international conferences.
